lyrics
I been worried about the state of my gums `
And i've been cleaning my bathroom's scum
Been walking the dog lots, been eating right
Been getting to bed before 12 every night
I been re-reading all the books that I own
Applying for jobs tho nobody’s phoned
Listening to lots of Raccoon City and Minor Threat
And i haven’t relapsed into my old ways yet
But Andy told me while we sat on the street
‘When you talk about getting it together
Picture all the good things you’ve done this week
And picture doing them every week forever’
I've been sober, working on myself
Doing tonnes of other stuff for my health
Haven't been out don't wanna see anyone
Haven't been out don't want to see you
I been worried about the state of my gums
And i've been cleaning my bathroom's scum
Haven't been out don't wanna see anyone
Haven't been out don't want to see you
But Andy told me while we sat on the street
‘When you talk about getting it together
Picture all the good things you’ve done this week
And picture doing them every week forever’
Mowing
Gotta mow my lawn
Every month for the rest of my life
Laundry
Gotta wash my clothes
Every week for the rest of my life
Flossing
Gotta floss my teeth
Every day for the rest of my life
Not calling you
Gotta not call you
Every single hour for the rest of my life

Whilst still identifiably the Erasers sound, this album is slightly darker and more cinematic than it's predecessor.
One dominant keyboard sound is eerily reminiscent of Vangelis in Bladerunner mode, which lends the album, in particular on a song like 'Heavy Worlds' an eerie, dystopian feel.
The percussive elements are slightly more syncopated, but no less metronomic, and that vocal drone and slithers its way through everything like a diffident cry.
A beautiful sigh, surrounded by darkness. Michael Mueller
